Bishop Purdie Elliott is a native of Harnett County. He has been in the ministry for over thirty-
two years preaching, teaching and winning souls for Christ.

Bishop Elliott’s ministry began in 1960 when he dedicated his life to God and joined
Anderson Creek Church.  He was ordained Deacon in 1961.  He served on the Deacon Board
for 18 years and as chairman of the Deacon Board for fifteen years before being called into
the ministry.  Bishop  Elliott preached his introductory sermon in 1979.  Shortly after the call
into the ministry, he succeeded the late Rev. E.C. Matthews as Pastor of Anderson Creek
Church.  At that time, the church was under the incorporation of the United Pentecostal
Holiness Churches of America where Bishop Elliott served as a member of the Grand Board.
After countless hours of prayer and fasting, in 1999, Bishop Elliott was directed by the Holy
Spirit to form Anderson Creek Christian Center, Inc.  Bishop Elliott humbly submitted to the
voice of God as he has done continuously throughout his servanthood.  God revealed
Himself in power and demonstration as He placed His seal of approval upon the ministry.

Bishop Elliott is an anointed vessel, which yields himself to be used anyway God chooses.
He has a life changing deliverance ministry that has been ordained by God for struggling,
rejected and hurting people that need teaching and spiritual counseling.  His message of
prosperity, healing and deliverance transforms and empowers believers to embrace their
destiny.

Bishop Elliott has instituted several ministries within the church to better meet the spiritual
and physical needs of God’s people.  Some of the ministries include: The Singles Ministry,
Outreach Ministry,  Young Disciples for Christ to include teaching young men to be real
men, and the Children's Church ministry.   To promote the physical and emotional
development of young children; Bishop Elliott founded the Anderson Creek Church Child
Development Center in 1999 and the Purdie & Ida Elliott Family Life Center in 2006.

Bishop Elliott wedded the lovely Elder Ida Elliott on January 1, 1960. From this blessed
union, two children were born: Purdie III & Elder Angela Elliott Blue.  Elder Ida serves in
ministry with her husband as Co-Pastor.  Elder Angela serves as Associate Minister and
Corporate Administrator in the ministry.

Bishop Elliott is a true Shepard and cares for every individual that God has placed under his
watchful eye.  Working in the gifts of the fivefold ministry, Bishop Elliott is without hesitation
a Pastor, for he nurtures, encourages and disciplines his sheep with love through the
guidance of the Holy Spirit.
